In 2020, UH Energy introduced the Sustainable Energy Development Program Bronze Belt program, to equip you – the rising energy professional – with skills, knowledge, and expertise to tackle the Energy Trilemma. This was structured as a series of 3 micro-credentials or “badges,” delivered online in real-time, that covers the changing energy landscape and build the skills to succeed in it. Now, we are pleased to announce that we are offering one of those badges – Energy Value Chain – as an asynchronous program. This online, asynchronous program is designed and presented by leaders from industry and accomplished faculty from the University of Houston, and it includes hands-on experience and real-world examples.
The credentialing program delivers a multi-disciplinary understanding of challenges and solutions to achieve sustainable energy development, and it is taught by world class instructors, including leaders from industry and the marketplace and accomplished faculty from the University of Houston, the Energy University, in the Energy Capital of the World.
Energy Value Chain is offered asynchronously. This allows you to access the program materials whenever convenient to you, and to complete the coursework at your own pace over a 2-week period. The program also includes “office hours” – an opportunity to interact periodically an instructor in real-time. A digital badge is awarded upon completion of the program. The badge provides a permanent record, endorsed by UH Energy and the University of Houston, that can be made a part of your resume to credential your new skills.
This program is available online starting May 23, 2022. You have up to 2 weeks from the acceptance of your application to complete 8 study modules. Weekly “office hours” are available for real-time discussion of the course materials and questions.
