In this course, we explore the big ideas behind quantum computing (QC) in a practical, discussion-driven format. You will develop an intuitive understanding of what QC is, why it holds so much promise, and what makes it fundamentally different from classical computing.
Participants will gain a high-level understanding of quantum computing algorithms and their complexity, while exploring the foundational knowledge and skills that students and professionals should start developing to succeed in a quantum-enabled future.
We will also examine real-world quantum applications, current industry trends, and realistic timelines for how quantum computing may shape careers, AI, science, and society as a whole. Quantum is not a hobby or a luxury—it may represent the ultimate technological trajectory, helping us break through the ever-evolving barriers of data, energy, and discovery.
Prerequisites: Passion + Curiosity with a dash of basic math & computer problem solving.

** The following refund schedule applies:
If requesting cancellation in more than three weeks before start date, a cancellation fee of 10% of the total course or workshop cost applies.
If requesting cancellation in less than three weeks before the start date, a 15% cancellation fee applies.
If requesting cancellation in less than one week before start date, a 25% cancellation fee applies.
If requesting cancellation in 48 hours or less before class start, No refund is available.
All deposits and payments made are nontransferable. The HPE DSI cannot provide refunds, transfer payments, or offer makeup sessions for classes a student might miss, for any reason. If the HPE DSI has to cancel a course/workshop, you will receive a full refund.
