ABSTRACTIn this paper, we introduce the so–called λ–Stirling numbers of the second kind and research its some elementary properties. we give an explicit relationship between the generalized Apostol–Bernoulli and Apostol–Euler polynomials in terms of the λ–Stirling numbers of the second kind.
