A one hour introductory short course designed to provide 3D printing basics and enable participants to start experimenting right away.
This course provides an overview of 3D concepts needed to create and print a simple 3D model. In addition, the course offers specific help and tips to help use the NSMIT 3D printers effectively and suggests directions for future self-study. A student's first session includes a simple name tag model.

"Making My First 3D Print" - This session will focus on the steps to create and print a personalized tag. It will include an introduction to model design using Tinkercad and submitting your model for printing. Bring your own laptop or use one of the lab computers. "3D Q&A" - These are short Question & Answer sessions held in the NSM-IT front office (Fleming Rm 127) following the "Making My First 3D Print" session. Your questions on 3D design, printing, and scanning are welcome. Printing demonstrations and material samples will be on hand. Bring a laptop if you want to start a model. Sign up or just stop by.
